What To Expect

Each of our worship services at Lakeside are designed to connect worshipers with Jesus and give glory to God. Our community is welcoming and down to earth, our worship is a mix of old and new, and the sermons are Biblical, relevant, and easy to understand. Wherever you are in your spiritual walk, we want Lakeside to be a place where you encounter God.

Dress:

Wear something comfortable and casual. Everyone is welcome and you can come to us the same way you come to Jesus—just as you are.

Time:

Services begin at 9:30AM every Sunday.

Arrival and Parking:

We have two lots—an upper and a lower lot. The entrance from the upper lot will have you coming in by our welcome center and the sanctuary. The entrance from the lower lot will have you entering in near our Sunday School classrooms. The stairs or elevator will take you up to the sanctuary.

Young Children:

Our nursery (for ages birth through 2 years old) is located off the lobby at the upper entrance of the church. JAM Time (Jesus and Me) is open to all children age 3 through kindergarten during the second half of the service. Children will hear Bible stories with related crafts and games. JAM Time kids start in the sanctuary with their parents and then will follow a teacher to the JAM Time room (next to the nursery off the lobby at the upper entrance of the church) at the announced time before the sermon and we ask that an adult briefly accompany their child to the classroom if it is the child’s first time. You may pick up your child following the service.

Sunday School:

Students Y5-8th grade meet following the worship service from 10:50- 11:50 am every week.

what we believe

All things exist for the glory of God.

ABOUT GOD

There is only one true God, creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

ABOUT Jesus christ

Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin and is both fully God and fully human. He lived the totally perfect life that we fail to live, and he died the death that we deserve as a sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for our sin.

About the Bible

The Bible is the true, authoritative, and sufficient word of God.

About Humanity

All people, excluding Jesus himself, are sinners by nature and choice. Though we were created to love, glorify, worship, and enjoy God, our sin has cut us off from relationship with him and the just result is spiritual and physical death.

About resurrection

Jesus Christ rose physically from death, he ascended into heaven, and will one day return to judge the living and the dead.

ABOUT salvation

Only through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ—that his sacrifice alone is sufficient to cover your sin and shame—can a person be reconciled with God, gain freedom from sin, obtain eternal life, and experience full life and joy.
